National Homeless Youth Awareness Month!

Across the country, thousands of young people face homelessness, often due to circumstances beyond their control. November is National Homeless Youth Awareness Month (#NHYAM), a month originally designated by the United States Congress in 2007 to build awareness of the issue of youth homelessness, including its causes and potential solutions, and highlight the need to work to prevent homelessness among children and teens. November is also Youth HOPE Month (youthHOPEmonth), a public awareness campaign spearheaded by the National Runaway Safeline to shine a light on the experiences of runaway and homeless youth that too often remain invisible.
